Overview

An SDMX Data Provider is an Organisation type which is responsible for reporting data (via a Provision Agreement).

Data Providers are maintained in a collection called a Data Provider Scheme. An Data Provider itself must be owned and maintained by an Agency.

Identity

An Data Provider has a Globally Unique Identifier, typically a short upper case string such as DP1, DP2, DP3, prefixed by the Identifier of the owning Agency. For Example, BIS:DP1 would refer to a Data Provider who is owned by the BIS Agency.

Other then an Identification, an Data Provider has a Name (multilingual), Description (multilingual) and can have zero to many Contacts.
