Overview

An SDMX Data Consumer is an Organisation type. A Data Consumer has no special SDMX privileges, but security rules can be set up to grant Data Consumers access to certain data and structures

Data Consumers are maintained in a collection called a Data Consumer Scheme. An Data Consumer itself must be owned and maintained by an Agency.

Identity

An Data Consumer has a Globally Unique Identifier, typically a short upper case string such as DC1, DC2, DC3, prefixed by the Identifier of the owning Agency. For Example, BIS:DC1 would refer to a Data Consumer who is owned by the BIS Agency.

Content

Other then an Identification, an Data Consumer has a Name (multilingual), Description (multilingual) and can have zero to many Contacts.
